Uberlândia Refrescos is a Child-Friendly Company
Since 2001 Uberlândia Refrescos is acknowledge as a Child-Friendly Company by the Abrinq Foundation and the title was renewed in 2019.

The “Child-Friendly” stamp is given to companies signed up in the “Child-Friendly Company Program” that obligatorily fulfill two requirements: to fight child labour and promote social activities that benefit children and teenagers.
Besides attending those requirements, Uberlândia Refrescos gives a monthly contribution to the development of projects that improve young people’s quality of life and opportunities.
According to Uberlândia Refrescos’ Human Talents manager Wanderleia Silva, the company has a great concern in involving children and teens in its social responsibility programs. She explains that the main goal is to contribute to the civil education of young people, preparing them for adulthood. “I believe that children and teenagers aren’t the future of our society, but the presente. As it is, they need since now to be protected and educated so they can make responsible choices and have wise attitudes”, she concludes.
Uberlândia Refrescos has projects that benefits from babies to young adults, like de Seed of Life program. The project offers talks about women’s health, pregnancy and tips and coaching about maternity. It is directed to the company’s pregnant and non-pregnant women and it also assists the Health Basic Unity of Uberlândia Refrescos’ neighbourhood.
Annualy, the Children’s Day is celebrated with a party for the the company’s employees children with a lot of activities, gifts, school supplies give aways and day care aid. Besides the partnership with Abrinq Foundation, Uberlândia Refrescos still makes donations to the Minas Gerais Child and Teenager Support Fund.
The company also seeks to “integrate education, culture and environmental care to improve children’s consciousness and social responsibility through the Alexa Institute of Human Development. The Institute is a non-profit Civil Society Organization (OSC) founded by Uberlândia Refrescos’ CEO Alexandre Biagi in 2009 and it work with four from the 17 Sustainable Development goals: quality education, social inequalities recuction, sustainable cities and communities and sustainable consumption and production.
The Young Collective is another project that is worth mentioning. Together with the Coca-Cola Brasil Institute the project aims to inspire and empower young people from the ages of 16 to 25 that live in low-income communities through professional qualification, self-esteem appreciation and connection with new income generation opportunities.
