Uberlândia Refrescos donates more than 30 k mineral water bottles
The action seeks to help hospitals in the company’s area of operation dealing with the new coronavirus crises

Uberlândia Refrescos has donated – between May and June 2020 – more than 30 000 mineral water bottles to seven hospitals that are tackling the new coronavirus crises in the cities of Uberlândia, Uberaba, Patos de Minas, Iuiutaba e Araguari.
Among the hospitals are the Clinical Hospital of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), Santa Catarina Hospital and Hospital Municipal in Uberlândia, Regional Hospital José Alencar in Uberaba, Prompt Service Unit of Patos de Minas, São José Hospital of the São Vicente de Paula Society in Ituiutaba, and the Holy House of Mercy of Araguari.
Since April the company has been donating materials and beverages to help fight Covid-19 in its area of operation. More than 4.000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items were donated to the Municipal Health Secretary and also hundreds of vegetable based beverages to hospitals and nursing homes.
For Uberlândia Refrescos’ CEO Alexandre Biagi, “this is an unprecedented crises that obliges us to act with wisdom and sense of community. We’re a company that has always been based in human development and concern with its people, and at this time of difficulty this is even more clear to us. Our goal is to keep assisting people with hydration and nutrition through our produtcs and take care of everyone”, he concluded.
